New Improved Content Writables

Published 4th July 2016 By Matthew Brown.

The first development of gneiss::content, I have to say, worked very well but had ugly arse writable methods.

I mean, honestly, these were really flakey and bad. So I have been working my backside off to completely rewrite them from scratch. When I say, from scratch, I really do mean it. Right back to the conceptual level and starting again.

It is just as well that we do not have any third party content type providers currently active because, I have no doubt, they would be screaming at me right now. As it is the only content type providers are all maintained by me, so... yeah I kinda want to scream at myself right now.

It is totally going to be worth it, though. A lot of bugs marked "long term unfixable" will be resolved. A lot of irritating limitations will be removed. And a great deal more stability and flexibility will be introduced.

Stand by for updates.
